WeDose is the cloud pharmacy software built around how hospital pharmacies in India actually work — not retrofitted from a retail counter, not bolted onto an HMS.
Marg and Busy were designed for retail counters. The pharmacy module bundled in your HMS is an afterthought. Both force hospital workflows into the wrong shape — and leave you reconciling cash, chasing expiry, and compiling GSTR‑1 by hand.
WeDose is opinionated about four things the legacy software gets wrong — because pretending otherwise is what made hospital pharmacies fall back on registers and Excel in the first place.
Patient name, doctor, prescription reference, Schedule H1/X handling — built into the billing screen itself, not bolted on top of a retail flow.
The Drugs Act 1940 prescription register writes itself. GSTR-1 exports in the format the GSTN offline utility actually accepts. No separate chore.
We don't ask doctors to change behaviour or upload anything. We record that a physical prescription was presented — and move on with the bill.
One consolidated message on the owner's phone by 7am: what's expiring, what to reorder, by which supplier. No installation, no local server, no app to open.
WeDose V1 is exactly seven modules — built in sequence so the foundation never wobbles. No insurance, no e-commerce, no half-finished CRM. Hospital pharmacy work, done well.
3-minute OPD bill. Barcode scan via the device camera. FIFO batch auto-pick. Live CGST/SGST math. Schedule H1/X warning banner. Partial bills when stock is short. Prints A4 or thermal 80mm. Writes the prescription register on save — in the same database transaction.
Two cron jobs at 6am. One WhatsApp message by 7am. Batches expiring in 30 / 60 / 90 days, plus reorder list grouped by supplier. Mirrored in an in-app notification centre.
Pre-loaded with HSN code, GST rate, schedule flag, and default reorder quantity. Add custom medicines as needed.
GSTIN, contact, credit limit, credit period, bank details. Suppliers must exist before any purchase is recorded.
Record incoming stock by batch, MFG/expiry, ex-GST price, GST rate, MRP. Stock levels update the moment goods arrive. Includes purchase return & debit note.
Batch-level FIFO ledger. Stock value at cost and at MRP. Every adjustment is captured in the audit log with a mandatory reason — no silent edits.
Sales (today, by medicine, by date range). Inventory (value at cost & MRP, slow-moving, dead stock). Expiry (30/60/90 with value at stake). Supplier outstanding (aged 0–30 / 30–60 / 60+ days). Every figure ties back to the underlying bill, batch, or invoice.
The compliance work doesn't get added to your weekend — it's already done, sitting in the database, the moment you save the bill.
WeDose is not a Bay-Area dashboard with a rupee symbol pasted on. It's a tool made for the pharmacy owner who runs a 40-bed nursing home in Hisar — and bills 120 patients between 9am and 8pm.
Railway/Render India region early, AWS Mumbai at scale. DPDP Act 2023 compliant by default.
The morning digest goes where owners actually look — WhatsApp, via an Indian BSP (Interakt / AiSensy), not email or push.
GSTIN, HSN code, CGST/SGST split, GSTR-1 export — primary fields, not custom add-ons.
Export your stock, upload to our 8-column Excel template, and review fuzzy matches before go-live. Founders provide half-day on-site help.
Every plan includes the seven V1 modules, WhatsApp alerts, GST exports, the prescription register, and India-region hosting. What changes is the scale we support.
The billing screen has an offline fallback — it keeps working through short connectivity drops using local storage, and syncs the bills to your tenant the moment the connection returns. You'll see a clear "working offline · will sync" indicator at the counter.
In India. We host on India regions of Railway/Render early on, and on AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) at scale — required for DPDP Act 2023 compliance. Each pharmacy gets its own isolated PostgreSQL schema.
No. WeDose runs in the browser — Chrome on a counter PC works perfectly. The owner uses the same login on their phone. No local server, no manual backups, no annual maintenance fees.
Yes. Export to Excel, fill our 8-column template (medicine, batch, MFG, expiry, qty, purchase price, MRP, supplier), and upload. The system fuzzy-matches each row against the base medicine database and asks you to confirm ambiguous matches before going live.
Yes — the entire app is mobile-responsive. The owner dashboard, alerts, and reports are designed phone-first. The billing counter screen is optimised for a desktop or tablet, but still usable on a large phone in a pinch.
About a week from signing. Founders provide half-day on-site assistance for opening-stock import and a short staff training session. Pilot pharmacies have completed first bills the same afternoon.
20 minutes. A founder will walk you through billing, a GRN, and the morning alert — using your own GST & medicine list if you'd like.
